Municipalities

Iqlim El-Kharroub is a historical and socio-cultural region located in the western part of the Chouf district. Its territory is traditionally defined as the area between the Awali River in the south and the Damour River in the north. It extends from the Mediterranean coast in the east to the Chouf Mountains. The Union of Municipalities of the Northern Al-Kharroub Region consists of 17 municipalities, namely: Al-Burjain, Jiyeh, Rumaila, Al-Mghairiyeh, Al-Wardaniyyah, Barja, Baasir, Jadra, Darayya, Dalhoun, Siblin, Shahim, Anout, Ketermaya Mazboud, Alman Al-Barghoutieh, and Dahr Al-Maghara.
